Ukulele Setup and Repair is an important part of our service.  

Basic QC - No Charge: 

• Check for Cosmetic Defects, 

• Check that the Neck is Straight,

• Check Bridge is Straight and Firmly Attached,

• Adjust Nut Slot,

• Adjust Bridge,

• Adjust String Height.  

Full Setup - $99: 

The single most impactful adjustment that should be made to a ukulele relates to string height; removing buzzing and making it easier to play.  Our Full Setup service includes all the Basic QC plus we attend to the Nut and Bridge to ensure best playability.  If the strings are too high, the instrument becomes uncomfortable to play, if the strings are too low, it can cause fret buzz. Typically, low and mid-price range ukes have actions really high to avoid fret buzz. This solves one problem but makes playing more difficult.

Check for Cosmetic Defects 

• Check that the Neck is Straight,

• Check Bridge is Straight and Firmly Attached,

• Adjust Nut Slot,

• Adjust Bridge,

• Adjust String Height,

• Check and adjust string action and intonation, adjust nut slots and saddle for proper height,

• Adjust Truss Rod if applicable,

• Clean and condition fingerboard, polish frets to remove minor scratches, pits and corrosion,

• Cleaning of entire instrument,

• Restring, tighten and lubricate all hardware,

• Test electronics, adjust or re-hang loose wiring and replace battery if needed,

• Full inspection and play test,

• Parts not included.
