Three levels of quality control, minor adjustments, and full ukulele setup
Island Bazaar goes the extra mile to make sure your new uke plays and sounds great. Each one undergoes careful quality control and setup for top performance.
Basic QC (FREE)
Each ukulele is carefully checked for basic quality control: Assess for any surface imperfections, double-check the straightness of the neck, and verify that the bridge is firmly in place.
Intermediate QC + Nut/Bridge Adjustment + $75
Our team knows that the key to better playability lies in adjusting the string height. That's why our service not only covers all the basic QC steps, but also pays close attention to the nut and bridge, guaranteeing that you get the perfect string action. Too high and it's uncomfortable to play, too low and you get fret buzz - that's where our feeler gauges come in, ensuring the strings are just right for comfortable playing without any annoying buzz. This is especially important for ukes in the low- to mid-price range, which often come with high string action to prevent fret buzz. Our intermediate QC also includes checking for cosmetic defects, making sure the neck and bridge are straight and securely attached, and adjusting the nut slots, bridge, and string height.
Full Setup + $125
