Witness the beauty of this Phil Henderson Solid Koa Tenor Ukulele w/ Abalone and Side Sound Port
Feast your eyes on the "Bee's Wing" Koa Tenor Ukulele images showcasing its remarkable design. Experience this masterpiece firsthand.
From the Luthier:
"I'm calling this tenor "Bee's Wing" because that is what some wood dealers call this type of thick intermeshed curl. The back matches the front, but this picture is a better representation of the true color. The curl pattern changes depending on how the light hits the uke. The accents are a red coolibah Burl that is really interesting. I used gold Gotoh tuners this time. The neck is Honduran Mahogany with a carbon fiber truss rod. The fingerboard and bridge are East Indian rosewood. Nut and saddle are natural water buffalo bone. The neck is Honduran Mahogany with a carbon fiber truss rod. As always, there is a side sound port. The sides match the top and back very nicely. If you think this uke looks like its gold plated, it kind of does in real life. The rosette and purfling are Pāua Abalone with thin black and white striping around the borders. I went with gold Gotoh planetary turners this time. I liked the gold with this Koa.”
